What can I expect after my pet gets a test?
Did you order either a routine Fecal or Blood test for your pet at one of our Community Clinics?
If so, the sample is examined for any anomalies by a national laboratory with whom VIP Petcare partners. Should a sample yield a positive result we contact the pet’s owner via telephone immediately. All negative results are notified by e-mail or mail. We receive test results from the lab by the following Saturday, if you have not received your results by this time or have questions, please feel free to contact our HelpDesk at 1.800.427.7973.
There is no set list of parasites for which pets are tested. The test will pick up the presence of a variety of parasites that can change over time. We have provided the following list of anomalies (potential positive results) that are common.

Isospora: Coccidia in Dogs and Cats
Eimieria: Coccidia in Reptiles, Birds or Rabbits
Dipylidium: Flea Tapeworm
Free Living Mites/Grain Mites
Cyniclomyces Guttulatus (a.k.a Saccharomycopsis Gutulatus)
Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma Phagocytophilum
Feline Leukemia and FIV
